Dr. Tim Keller of Redeemer Pres. in Nor Cal

A Conversation with Dr. Tim Keller

Tuesday, March 4 7:30 PM UC Berkeley

Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) at Berkeley will be hosting Dr. Keller, noted author and pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, for a lecture and conversation on his new book: The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism.

Dr. Keller addresses some of the most pressing obstacles to the intellectual credibility of Christianity (i.e. Why isn't Christianity more inclusive? How can we believe in God when there is so much suffering in the world? Isn't the Bible culturally regressive and historically unreliable?) The event will take place in room 2050 of the Valley Life Science Building.

Let's take our 15 passenger van loaded with folks and support Tim. I think Dr. Keller is one of the brightest minds in Christendom!

Thanks Paul for bringing this to our attention!

There's been quite a stir in the blogosphere regarding the Newsweek article on Mr. Keller and this book. You can read some of the posts and comments here and here and here. I liked how Ed Stetzer went straight to the source and got Mr. Keller's response to the article.

I actually have never attended Redeemer (I plan on making my first time this coming Sunday as I just moved into town) but I am curious to know if I could tag along to see Dr. Keller. that is, if you have room in the van. if not, i totally can drive myself, but just thought i would ask.

Emily, you are most welcome to come with us. We should have room in the van but if not there will be other cars going so just introduce yourself to me or Jim or someone and we'll work it out.
